Famous Bangla Magazine Desh [17-01-2015]. Desh is a Bengali language literary magazine published by Anadabazar Patrika Limited from India. This magazine, which is in publication since 1933, has been edited by editors like Sagarmoy Ghosh in the past. The present editor is Harsha Dutta. After the death of Sagarmoy Ghosh, Desh started publishing non-fiction articles and essays on topics of current, historical and cultural interest. It has drifted from being a pure literary magazine to more current affairs-oriented format. Journalist and Ramon Magsaysay award winner Amitabha Chowdhury edited the magazine for quite some time after Sagarmoy Ghosh. Desh is published from 6 Prafulla Sarkar Street, Kolkata 700 001. Once, Desh was considered as the best literary magazine of the middle class Bengali-speaking intelligentsia. However, its circulation has declined considerably in recent times. It was famous until the late 1990s for its literary reviews.Recently, Desh has ventured into a book-review fortnightly called Boier Desh where latest books are reviewed by veteran critics. Boier Desh is a trimonthly magazine.

Tafhimul Quran Part 18

Tafhim-ul-Quran is a translation and explanation of the Quran by South Asian scholar Abul Ala Maududi. Maududi spent 30 years writing the work; he began in 1942 and completed it in 1972. Tafhim is derived from the Arabic word fahm which means "understanding". Tafhim is a combination of orthodox and modernist interpretation and has deeply influenced modern Islamic thought. It differs from traditional exegesis in several ways. It is more than a traditional commentary on the scripture as it contains discussions and debates regarding economics, sociology, history, and politics. In his text, Maududi highlights Quranic perspective and argues that Islam provides ample guidance in all spheres. Maududi uses the standard technique of providing an explanation of the Quranic verses from the Sunnah of Muhammed, including the historical reasons behind the verses. The Tafhim deals extensively with issues faced by the modern world in general and the Muslim community in particular.

Anne Frank Er Diary  is a book of the writings from the Dutch language diary kept by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. The family was apprehended in 1944, and Anne Frank died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The diary was retrieved by Miep Gies, who gave it to Annes father, Otto Frank, the familys only known survivor. The diary has since been published in more than 60 different languages.

Dagboek Brieven 14 Juni 1942 – 1 Augustus 1944 (The Annex: Diary Notes 14 June 1942 – 1 August 1944) by Contact Publishing in Amsterdam in 1947, the diary received widespread critical and popular attention on the appearance of its English language translation Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl by Doubleday & Company (United States) and Valentine Mitchell (United Kingdom) in 1952. Its popularity inspired the 1955 play The Diary of Anne Frank by the screenwriters Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, which they adapted for the screen for the 1959 movie version. The book is included in several lists of the top books of the 20th century.
